Hi,
First, context. I'm exporting some data to XML format (using undocumented getXML method). It's done, it's great but... 1 - I've some OLE stuff in Object Text field 2 - OLE stuff is translated to ASCII stuff by getXML 3 - getXML seems have a memory leaks (I read a lot here to fix others memory leaks and avoid StringTable issue...)
So I've some memory issue due to this (undocumented) method. Commenting getXML I have globally no memory leak, uncommenting I've a lot of RAM wasted. Incriminated line, where XML is a Stream and O a Object from a loop, is : XML << getXML(O) Although getXML is undocumented, it (seems) use a Objet and return a string. So I pushed this returned string in a Stream trying to avoid temporary string which will be stored in stringTable. But I've memory leak...
Now, questions : - Assuming I'm in read-only mode and I won't modify modules, how can I filter 'Object Text' field from Object O ? - How do I clone (shallow copy or whatever) a Object to set 'Object Text' to '' ? (DxlObject ? Buffer ?) - Or perhaps it exist a filtering way to load a module avoiding this column (without create new views) ?
Basically, my main concern is not in 'Object Text' : I'm interested by others fields and getXML is really OK if I except this memory leak...
Thanks in advance for your help.
